 H. Rider Haggards classic lost race fantasy novel, first published serially in the weekly magazine Tit-Bits, between December 1893 and August 1894. This entertaining story follows a British adventurer seeking wealth in the wilds of Africa, finding romance, and discovering a lost race and its monstrous god.
 Sir Henry Rider Haggard (1856-1925) was an English author who specialised in adventure fiction set in exotic locations, primarily Africa. He was a pioneer of the lost world literary genre.
 With a twenty-four page publishers catalogue to the rear. All issue points correspond with Scott, 21.
 - CONDITION - In the publishers original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Gilt remains bright. Spine is slightly cocked. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with the odd spot.
